Default intermittent chime on 2004 ctd engine start

I have had my 2500 since new. Every once in a while (and sometimes many times in a row) when I start the truck, I get a single long chime (about one second) after the engine starts. The chime is not related to the amount of fuel left. I also make sure I have already put on my seat belt, so it is not related to that. The dealer has no idea. Actually, a few dealers have no idea. Is this common? Does it happen to anyone else? If the chime is going to sound, it is usually around the time when the ABS and engine lights go out. If it is really cold and the heater light stays on for some time, then the ABS and engine lights are already out.........the chime will go off without any lights showing.

It will be interesting to know if anyone else has this happening to them. I have tried to figure out if this thing is trying to tell me something or not for some time!

Thanks a lot!
