muffler

how much does the muffler do for emissions? im curious to know if my truck will pass emissions now that i sawzalled the muffler off and slapped in a straight pipe.

It doesn't do jack for emissions. The only thing is does is quiet the sound. Straight pipe has no effect on emissions, unless they also check sound level.
