I have a question that i think i already know the answer too. when I push my brake pedal it starts high then it falls to the floor and my brakes barrelly work. Plus if I pull the pedal up it doese the same if i don't i dn't have much brakes. I just replaced the brake line from front to rear and bleed the brakes well, but for some reason I think the brake booster is shot. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

What year is it?

 

if it is a 2nd gen it sounds like the vacuum pump may need some new seals

correct with hydroboost. I stopped at the part store and the brake boost is 180.00 and the master cylinder is 80.00 could it be the master cylinder.

 

I would hope that after only 6 years, your hydroboost is still working properly.

Not breakin chops but I think you still have some air that needs to be bled from the system. I would assume that after the intial brake line rupture, the MC went dry? What was the reason for replacing line?

I personally think you need to bleed the entire system a little better. There's a manual on this site somewhere that would give you the correct procedure. I would bench bleed the MC......you can easily have an eternal air bubble, yet get fluid out of the rear bleeders.


If you are losing fluid after replacing the line, check your connections to make sure the leak is not being absorbed by the frame. Your ps pump is what drives the hydroboost unit. Make sure the ps fluid is full.

ok somthing new yesterday it was fairly warm out in the 30's and the brakes worked just fine and the abs and brake light did not come on any other suggestions.
