HO diesel
Hey guys you can tell by the vin on the 3rd gens. Look at the 8th number. If it is a 6 it is the stander output. If it is a C, you have the HO. At least that is what the Dodge Ram Service Manual says in their VIN decoder.

I was looking for a basic answer and got an algebra answer. I thought there were only Standard Output engines and High Output engines. I still don't know what Pop has ...

Mine is a 04 also and it is the HO. If you look at the picture cumminalong put up, have him look for the hp number. When he opens the hood, stand on the drivers side and look for the big white stickeron the valve cover. If it is 305, then it's the HO.
