Default You will probably be mad at me

Heres my story, I want a cumings desiel. However, ever since I was a kid I was big into the sport truck scene.

1) What I want to do is buy a deseil and lower it as much as I can. a 4-6 or 3-5 something like that. I am having trouble finding a drop kit for the truck, and wanted to know if any one has done this, and knows where I can get a lowering kit.

2) Could I buy a 2500 dodge and install a 1500 lowering kit. I will never be pulling a huge load,( maybe a couple of motorcycles) so I wont need a 2500 series suspension.

3) I am not partial on a year of truck, although I do like the 2nd and 3rd gens. I would also like to put something like a banks 6-gun, or some thing like that. I like the idea that you can get an extra 100 hp at the flip of a switch, and then go back to stock for better gas milage. Any suggestions?

Lots of people lower their 2 wheel drive trucks, can't say ever seen a diesel lowered though,
you may wnat to go with the air bag suspension as the weight of the diesel over the front axle is too much for most lowering kits.
I have seen lowering spindles for old 3/4 ton chevys but not for a newer Ram.
The 1500 lowering kit is not up to the task and would in all probability would be unsafe.
Many programmers will get you the added power you desire just be sure to upgrade the tranny or if it a manual trans be sure to upgrade the clutch.

good luck,
paul

the best way to lower a 2500 iswhat pram said and tobag it.

personaly, I would stay away from banks electronics. . .they do make good stuff, but they rely on pressure more than anything to make power, and that is hard on your injectors. for a good 100hp kick, the Egde box, quadzilla, or a downloader like the Smarty. however smarty will give you alot more than 100hpalso if your wanting mega power look at the TST box. . .I have one and it is a bad boy.
