I read "Drews brew". nice job. still a bit cloudy on what "cetane" refers to.

any ideas???

This may not help you,All I know about it is,"Octane" is about gasoline and "Cetane" is about diesel.

The cetane # is a measure of the ignition quality of the diesel. It measures the ignition delay of the fuel. The higher the # the lower the ignition delay.

It's all about chemistry, octane is 8 carbon chain. I believe cetane is 16 carbons. I could be wrong but it's somethin like that.

accourding to freedictionary.com, cetane is C16H34 used as a solvent and in standardized hydrocarbons.
That's what college teaches you....google and u get the definition
