When you guys talk of Bragg, are you refering to Fort Bragg in North Carolina? I am actually in Fayetteville right now until Sunday watching a couple of my brother's hockey games. He's playing for the Fireantz.

Yeah, their games a pretty big production. Good fan support and their rink is awsome. It's pretty cool down here, we were thinking of taking a trip up to fort bragg to check it out. Not sure if we will have time though.

My brother is #14 and plays defense. If anyone is down here, it's pretty cheap entertainment and they are a pretty good team. In a 3 way tie for 2nd right now.

 

I gotta agree (rode a 2 seater once, other than that my pickup is highest I'm ever off the ground)

 

If you're just going to Ft. Bragg to check it out, there's not a whole heck of a lot to see. Just more buildings, like everywhere else. All the training is out in the sticks.

If you wanna see something decent, go downtown to the Special Forces and Airborne Museum. It's actually pretty cool. Or maybe you could try sneaking into the Delta compound. Betcha won't do it. [:-]

Otherwise, you'll just run into more of the lovely Fayetteville traffic.

 

Wait, you're a SGM at ITB? I went through A 1/50th in 2004... no Airborne, NG wouldn't pay for it at the time...

I'm an SFC that is in the Ops SGM position. I was a DS over at 1/19 until Nov of 2004. MUWAHAHAHAHA! A 1/50 is where I went to Basic too.

I left for Afghanistan until Feb '06, then came back to Benning, now I'm heading to Suriname for 2 years.

But that's odd that they wouldn't let you go. They don't actually "pay" for sending you to Abn School when you are already at the installation. They only thing that your state would have to pay for is the extra time that you were on active duty to attend school. The only time it ever really comes up as an issue is if you were on a Split Option deal and had to be back NLT a certain date.

 

not much on jumping .. flew a few loads of jumpers years ago at a priviate jump club. i bleieve the 100 100 100 rule. all i ever wanted was for all you folks to get out so my plane would fly and preform again.
