fuel prices
When I started buying diesel 15 years ago it was 30 cents cheaper than gas . Now the ***** ram us for 35 to 40 more than gas!! We should have seen it coming with all the light duty trucks that have been manufactured in the last 15 years. I can actually run a gasser on my job as cheap or cheaper than my CTD. If you count the service cost. The basta%$# got us over a barrel and they know it!!! This fuel price will kill alot of guys like me that make their living out of their truck. It cost me 35 to 40 bucks to fill up 7 years ago , now it cost 85 bucks. I do this three times a week and its starting to hurt. O by the way I cant go up on my prices like they can.
to make matter worse, I have been seriously looking into running biodiesel since I first starting considering buying a diesel truck. All the talk of cheaper prices and such but it seems to me the prices are going way higher for biodiesel now then what I first started hearing. So I have to now ask, whats the sole purpose for running bio over ULSD? Prices are not it anymore....I suppose if you can make your own then it would be cheaper, and I would expect someone thats selling it to mark it up a bit to cover the costs but when the mark up = ULSD I see no point in it.
last week the unleaded went down and diesel went up!!
then later the unleaded went up and diesel went down [sm=dontgetit.gif]
you drive 5 blocks and have 5 different diesel prices to boot. rangin 10cents different.
as for biodiesel kits. they run $5 g's easy. then you have to make arrangements with local restaruants to get the old oil.

And to think they use to throw Diesel away as it's a by-product ofrefining gas, now days the states put a higher tax on diesel, since all the trucks that deliver everthing we use,run ondiesel, it a hidden fuel tax added to everything we use
