so i bought the edge chip and the monitor for $683.
i so forgot to check if it alter the fuel pressure at all! dammmmm. oh well.

so i installed my box.


but my engine light is on. any help on this? it runs and all but wats up with that? any way i can turnit off?
oh and is the display unit supposed to be on all the time even when the truck is off ? is there anyway to trun it off?

 

My Edge Attitude only lights up when the key is in the 'On' position. If I turn the key backwards to listen to the radio the Attitude does not light up. You may have powered up the system off of the wrong 'Hot' wire. I hadmine installed at a shop so I don't know off the top of my head where they got power. You may have to hook up to a code scanner to see what code is being thrown.

How did you wire it up? Did you tap a keyed fuse in the fuse box or did you wire it directly to the battery. If it's not on a keyed circuit, it will stay powered.

As for the CEL....doesn't yours work as a code reader / scanner / tool. Mine allows me to read, erase, etc.

Double check all of your connections and the connection at the OBDII port.

 

It is a special fuse with a tab for a wire connector. I think this was supplied. It is installed in Slot 50.

 

autozone will do the check engine lite test for a whopping Zero dollas and Zero cents.

 

Right.....that fuse that you tap into with the supplied fuse tap should be connected to the spare fuse in the underhood fuse box. That only gets power when the key is in the run position, so it only powers the box when the truck is on.

 

Mine hasn't thrown a code since it was installed. Are the codes just displayed or is there a way to navigate to them? After looking at the Edge web site it appears the Code feature is a 2006 feature not available on the 05 model, along with that handy Turbo Timer.

 

ok. i did do the tap thing. and im not sure if i can readcodes on itbut!!!... it does haul ***. lol ima take it to auto zone and check up on that code. i also need to tapfor the egt which will get done today.
