In my area, Diesel is going for about 2.92 to 3.07 a gallon. Unleaded Regular is going for 3.21+ a gallon...... Man I wish I had a V-10 or Hemi right about now .

I don't even know why some ppl would buy that v-10 thing from ford or really a v10 heavy duty truck period. Just doesn't make sense.

Considering that I owned a V10 SD, I can understand why.

1 - If you own a Ford, it's a helluva lot more reliable than a PSD (in most cases)

2 - It's only a $600 upgrade from a V8 and only gets 1 - 1.5 MPG worse mileage for nearly 100 extra lb/ft and 65 extra horse.

3 - You can buy a lot of gas for the price of a PSD.

that's true i guess I wasn't really comparing it fairly. V-10 to a cummins isn't a fair comparison at all but if you go with a comp from ford to ford then ya it's got its adv.

Oh no, there is no comparing my '04 V10 to this beast. This thing will monkey stomp the V10 in a heartbeat. ESPECIALLY in fuel mileage.

Day to day:
V10: 9 (on a good day)
CTD: 17 - 19 (everyday)

Highway:
V10: 11
CTD: 21 (normal) - 23 (unloaded, 65 or so)

I am in Indiana, right nest to Louisville, KY, and gas fuel prices here are complete oppisite right now. Gas is 2.29 and Diesel is 2.69. It is pretty depressing at this point. For years Diesel was always cheaper than gas by .20 and the past few years it changed, diesel is always more.....I don't get it. Anyone have an explanation?

hahahahah "monkey stomp" omg this is amazing material absolutely amazing. I'm gnna go on the ford forum and tell them that the cummins "monkey stomps" them. They would have nothing to say to that. Dude we need to start a sticky for amazing posts. This one for example and the one from diesel demon a bit ago about "powerder puffin" a brother with diesel smoke. I get some good laughs from this place. wow.
