Default tires

what does everyone reccomend as "their" tire brand. looking for mileage, stability, and traction under all conditions.

anyone have any feedback on mickey thompson Baja ATZ specialty radial tires? they look pretty decent to me. but i looking for like wear life/balancing/traction in all conditions. http://www.4wheelparts.com/prodDetai...partNo=M/T5181 theres the tire if anyone wants to check it out

p.s. steve, would you mind posting a little closer pic of your tires. the pro-comp xtreme a/t are what im really leaning towards but i wanna see them a little closer on a cummins before i make my final decision.

thanks everyone

i was told by a couple of friends and one guy at the tire shop that the mickeys were in pretty soft and wore out pretty fast. a guy i work with is getting those tires this week. i just bought a set of toyo open country mt's and love the hell out of them. havn't gotten stuck yet even in the montana snow and mud. just my two cents.

I saw this guy while I was away andI kinda liked his tires. I'm sure they were stock, but they looked really good I thought. Maybe I'll go this route next time.

Any of you guy's know if they'll fit my truck?

Mayfair,
that tire is an optional tires for the 3rd gen CTD just not that large stock tires are 285/70/17.
those are 315's.
You've got the 3rd gen wheels already, you might have to level the front out or live with some rub on sharp turns or during suspension compression

Yeah, I figured that I might have to level my truck out. I just wanted to make sure that after leveling that they'd work OK. They sure as heck did a great job of filling up his wheel wells.
