anyway, having a recall, even before the vehicle is fully released doesnt speak well for the future.

Considering that a new 4X4 diesel is running upwards of $40K - 50K, the smart buyer does some homework.

If he plunks down $50K on a something he knows nothing about and hasn't done a bit of research.....well, you know what happens.

A friend of mine was just telling me today that they were looking at getting a Ford Diesel - - I've been filling their mailbox all night with links just like this one. Man if I aint got them convinced to go Dodge I don't know what will.

 

Ford is just a dissapointment. It's hard to believe how idiotic they truly are. The thing I look at most and respect most about dodge is that they are the only manufacturer that tells you openly wiht pride who makes their diesel engine. Rather be cummins than strokin

 

I hate to see them go down the toilet like this. It's too bad they couldn't stick with what worked in the 7.3L. I've always been a Ford man at heart, they do make the best looking trucks orat least up until 2008 models they did, but I dont think I'll ever own a diesel Ford. On the other hand, and I know this is hearasy in these parts, I could see myself driving a new 3rd Gen Lightning if only they hadn't axed it a few years ago[:@] But that's how they do things at Ford. Build something thats cool and works then decide to quit building or replace it with some crap.

 

Ya know,, I thougt chevy was doing something bad when they quit making the 350, but the new engines are pretty good. Sometimes change can be good,,,, Ford diesel engineers just need to quit smoking the "stupid" crack.

 

Ford just isn't happy with a 6 ft grave. They said, "Screw it.......lets dig our grave 6 ft from China!"
