Default TST

So I think I will go with TST for my truck. My question is what do you guys recomend for gauges. Does the TST come with a digital gauge or do I need these installed. I'm thinking egt, boost and trans temp gauges. Am I missing something here? Help me out guys!! Thanks ahead!!

P.S. I am sure Drew can help me out with the TST info !!!!

it depends on which model you go with. the R49 comes with boost and EGT, however the R37 does not.

even with the digital gages on the remote, I would still get an analog boost egt and tranny temp gage.

the R49 does do boost fooling and boost limit to 35psi, and will defuel if EGT's get too high. the R37 does boostfooling and limit as well to 35psi. I have mine on since I dont trust my right foot to keep boost under 35#. went to 45psi once. . .that was all I needed to turn it on and keep it there

All in all the R49 is the way to go from what you are saying. What about pricing? Where do you suggest purchasing the items from?

well. . .the R37 if you were to buy it today will have the standard program, early and late twins, and the economy, you can get it here http://www.dieselnutmotorsports.com/...;productId=144for $700

the R49 has the same programming, however for $150 more than the R37 which I think is a VERY good deal you get this. . .
Adjustable Timing Setting -User Control timing up to 18 degrees
Auto Cool - Down Turbo Cool Down Control
Adjustable Rail Pressure -Control added rail from none to. . . . . .
http://www.dieselnutmotorsports.com/...;productId=145
the only thing I would be concerned with would be adding too much timeing and too much fuel, however the auto cool is worth the extra 150 in itself. just becarefull though, crank this bad boy up too much and you WILL fry a valve or the turbo. I can put mine on 7/7 and see over 1400F VERY quick. this is in the danger zone when it comes to these engines, and even though the valve seats have been machined to handle the heat, they wont stand up to prolonged exposure. however this is a very good box when it comes to adding power, my only complaint, not enough low end fueling. but then again I have the R37 and got it for a VERY good deal 2nd hand. and I could upgrade the software since I have a SN over 5000, I'm just afraid I would burn my stock turbo up.[8D]
