Default FUEL PRESSURE ?

A little while back , The stealership put my supply pump in the tank after the one on the back of the filter housing failed. How much pressure does the replacement pump push. And do I need to look at another system. Most of you know that I work out of my 04 and Im not planning on any mods to increase horsepower. I looked at the FASS pumps, but I dont think I need that much pressure. Is there any other way to go?

Default RE: FUEL PRESSURE ?

the pump in the tank is the same as any reg pump it will push 100 or so and a regulator will hold it back to around 45 to 50.
The other pump of yours will go any where from 1 to 10k psi.

Default RE: FUEL PRESSURE ?

the lift pump should only push around 14-16psi. any more will cause issues with the CP3. the design of the in tank pump I believe is completely wrong. more than 60% is recirculated back into the tank just for creation of the suction needed to push fuel to the CP3, it just seems like a waste.

the fass pump has a regulator on it to back the pressure down to what you need, ~14psi. however just like the VP44, the CP3 needs more flow than pressure.
