Default 2005 cummins wastegate problem

A friend of mine has a 2005 Dodge Ram.
A couple of days ago he got the CEL, with a code someting about wastegate pwm signal...
I did a look at his engine and saw there is a cable teard out from the wastegate and it is not reparable.
I think the part i`m talking about is the wastegate-assemly and not a solenoid. The Part is locateted direct on the turbo, has a connector with 2 cables and a vacuum hose on it.
Is the part available seperatly and how easy is it to replace? Is it just screwed in or do whe need to take the turbo a part? were can we order the new wastegate, only at Dodge Dealerships or are there any aftermarket vendors?

thanks for any help swissguy

He has no warranty here in Switzerland, because it is a grey import.
But he want to fix the problem anyway.

yes, one wire break off, because a hose was rubbing on it.

I would say you should be able to just splice the wires back together. lenghten them a bit so you can pull them out of the way of rubbing.

no way to splice, connect or solder them, because there is not a bit of wire on the wastegate anymore.

have you pulled the connector on the waste gate actuator to see if the pin is still there?

If the pin is still in the connector, you should be able to remove the pin and reconnect the wire (solder) to it then reinstall the pin into the connector. Some one post the link to the service manual for him. I think the SMeven tells you the tool you need to remove the pin from the connector.

The connector-side is not the problem, there is the wire still ok. The wire is brake off from the wastegate-housing! No pin there only the sealing compound.
