Mag-Hytec stuff is in ... tons of pics !!
I didn't bother to order the front pan becauseI wasunder the impression that unless you are using 4wd a lot then it really isn't nessary. The front covers are more for show than anything else. Is that true?
kinda yes and kinda no. the front end doesnt get as much work. but it does spin just as much as the rear end. atleast on the newerones withoutlocking hubs. thefront end ahas a split driveshaft on the passenger side and that is what locks the front end in or out. so the diff is still spinning at the same speed.

One danger of the trans flush machine is that on some vehicles, it cleans things up so well that it may cause your tranny so start to slip.. I have a buddy who has one in his shop and he told me he has seen some cars come thru with no problems then after a flush, they lose reverse and then you guessed it... rebuild.
He says it doesn't happen often and if it does, it was probably only a matter of time before it went anyway. I have a Tahoe that was flushed with no problems and had a Chevy van that was flushed after a tranny swap and it lost reverse and was then rebuilt.
Just my 2 cents on it.

Perhaps I'll put in on my "to do" list in the future, but next up is the FASS.

hey mayfair, you need to paint up your axles when you do that. kinda weird an old rust axle with a shiny new cover. just my $0.02 any way those covers and pans look sweet.

Naah ... I think it looks cool just the way it is. Perhaps someday when I turn my truck into a show truck I'll consider all of that, but for now it's fine.
One thing that IS cool right now is that if you are in a car behind me, you can now see the cover through the hitch reciever hole. It looks BADD AZZ !! I'm kinda thinking about putting a little light back there to shine on it at night.
I've been thinking of getting a custom neon "Cummins" sign to put into one of my grille inserts on my truck. Its my idea and anyone who steals it will have to buy me a sign
