Default 6-Speed Manual Transmission

Just rolled over over 6000 kilometers on my new 2007 MegaCab Dually. Just curious as to how much RWHP this transmission and clutch are good for?

Does anyone have a clue? Or know where a person could find that information???

I'm not sure what the G56 can handle, Ive put around 360-375hp through my stock NV5600 and it has heald, any more and it does start to slip. With that said I would imagine the DMF and clutch of the G56 could handle about the same, however that DMF is what concerns me.

if your looking for something that can handle alot more. . .south bend clutch can hook you up and even get rid of that DMF for ya.

I've seen people putting over 1200 ft lbs to the ground with the g56 trans and a southbend clutch, granted that severly reduces the trans's longevity.

Converting from newton-meters
the Mercedes built G56 seems to be rated for up to
720 ft-lbs

HankL, he is asking what the stock clutch can handle, not what the input torque of the G56 is.

I think I'll be contacting South Bend Clutch...

I am currently running a Dr.Performance Stage III (120HP), along with a Diablosport Predator U7131...

Running the UI7131 on Extreme RKL (180HP) + the extra 120HP from the stage III, i think i am getting some slipping at the higher end of the RPM range!

with all that you should be slipping it down lower. . .I can get mine to slip around 1300-1500rpm with my TST cranked.

Your right Drew... I paid more attention today! It is slipping down low... I did contact NADP in Grande Prairie, AB. They are getting me a quote on a South Bend....

Is there anyone currently running a South Bend package? I am looking for some feedback on them. Would ATS make something similar?

southbends are great. I don't own one because of the auto but I have a few buddies who I helped put a southbend in and they are some of the best out there.
