Default Limited Slip SH*T

ok so i have an 06 ctd and its has a limited slip dif. now ofcourse like all ctd owners after the engine was broken in i did my frist brake stand. holley sh*t it was fun two nice rubber marks about 30 to 60 feet long. And of course once you do it once you gotta do it agian. I tryed it again about a week ago between the frist time and the last was about 2 mounths. I put about 1200k on the truck a week. There was only one tire mark this time the god dam right tire fire. Is there somthing wrong with the rearend or is that the way the cookie crumbles. and one more thing how bad is a brake stnad for the truck?

the axel on these trucks can be finiky to get the LSD to work right. . .to get them both to light you may need to roll about 3 feet for it to engage.

the LSD that is packed into the pumpkin is not your normal LSD, instead of useing a clutch pack, the AAM axels use worm gears to get the job done.

just remember though, power braking is hard on the tranny and axels and doing it too much will dammage them.
