I was wondering if anyone have read into making the truck run off used veggie oil, not much in the forums bout it. I am gonna pry have my truck off it next month maybe. All I have read is that you need to have it filtered really good bt not sure have many micros. Also I am gonna have a in bed tank made but you need a coil inside running of the trucks coolant to heat the oil to like 180 F to make it thinner. Other then that you need a valve to switch the tanks over after it heats up ad before you turn it off.

I would seriously check into getting a heftier lift pump. Veggie oil and B100 are a lot thicker than regular diesel and the stock lift pumps are known for being a piece of crap. FASS makes a pump just for running veggie oil and high concentrations of bio-diesel.

I started making home brew diesel last year, but gave up because thewvo is too hard to find around here.

Everything I have seen about it, they dont say you have to upgrade your lift pump, You just heat it uo to thin it out.

You're right. You don't have to upgrade your lift pump. But when a new VP44 costs $1000+ it doesn't look like a bad idea.

Check out this web site. I got a lot of info from here when I was making B100. There as some guys running CTD's on 100% wvo.

If you run bio, just be sure to keep extra fuel filters on hand. Since your truck is a 2001, a lot of built up crap from over the yearsis going to foul up the fuel filter if running straight B99 or B100.
