My friend called me for advice this morning about his 2016 Cummins. Its been parked in his garage for about a week and he went to start it yesterday and when he turned the key, it initialized the gauges but didn't crank. He put a battery charger on the drivers side battery and it didn't change anything. He moved the battery charger to the passenger side battery and it started. My question is, how are the batteries wired up? He hit a deer with it this fall and had to repair the front end. I'm assuming the body shop removed the batteries or at least disconnected them. Do the passenger side cables run to the starter and it fed by the drivers side battery? Being only a year old it doesn't seem likely that a battery is shot already but that is also a possibility but I'm wondering if there is a connection issue between the two batteries.
