Default Leveling Kit

Does anyone know the pros and cons of leveling out a truck? Is it only for traction or just for looks? I heard for the SRT-10 to drop 1 inch in front and 2 in the back to level it out. Just want to know exactly why. Thanx.

I think its mainly looks.. these trucks already handle awsome.. i do no when i lowered mine it put it closer to the bumpstops.. but still rides pretty good.

I thought of dropping the rear of mine about 1-2 inches, then thought of installing a larger diameter tire to fill the wheelwell more, but will be towing a Yamaha jet boat to the lake frequently, so the tongue weight will drop the rear a few inches and I don't want to risk rubbing the tires, so will probably leave it stock.

Thanks for the input. I also heard it was better for grip for the 1/4 mile

All you need for grip is some track bars and wheels/DRs, you will be fine unless you toss on a turbo or two.
