This has been some good reading in this post. Everyone needs to have their own opinion and that is good. We can't all drive the same trucks. That wouldn't be any fun at all. I come from a town that is chevy dominated. I was the one of the first to buy a dodge, I got no respect untill my dodge started to claim one chevy after another and repeated. I wanted something that I could believe in. I bought my dodge based on the fact that my dad had put his 99 qc 4x4 through hell and back and it really impressed me. From then on I was sold on Dodges, I have always like the looks of them and the way they ran. I bought my first dodge almost 3 yrs ago, its a 2001 dodge ram 2wd reg cab w/5.9. I was the only one that had a truck like mine and that truck earned the respect of many. We can't all just support one brand of cars of trucks, that would be no fun at all. I enjoyed being the only guy with a dodge, and I'm still driving ol'blackie to this day and I'm convinced that the truck is tough as nails and gutless as the rest of em. My next truck with be a 2wd reg cab hemi as soon as I decide to let go off this one. I love the hemi even more, but i'm just not too crazy about the new interiors. -Tyler
time slips, and mod list.
I would be hard pressed to believe that you pulled a 1.82 short time on the stock tires, without a higher stall convertor. also, a high 7/ low 8 second 1/8 mile would put you well into the 12s, where as an 01 lightning is general only good for high 13s stock, provided that it can get traction.

There really not mutch to the mods.. A cold-air box, JDM Traction Bars, JDM Mail order tune, kooks-hearders/bassoni Cat-back, Its on 16psi of boost Stock is (8lbs) Its got a shift kit in it... NO STALL!! NO NOS!! With the stock non-ported eaton blower.
Best 1/8th 7.99 @88mph 1.82 60ft..
Best 1/4th 12.77@108mph 1.89 60ft...
Ps: The best mod you can buy is a Good Driver[sm=gears.gif][sm=smokin.gif]
ill give you that the mail order tune and the cold air box isnt much along the lines of mods, but the traction bars and headers, plus the pulley kit (im guessing) that is doubling your stock boost is a significant mod...i know that the pulley isnt a "major mod" as far as changing to the smaller pulley goes, but doubling the boost is a big deal, obviously..
if you "doubled the boost" on an sRT10, while its a more difficult mod on the srt10, it would pound a plightning.
but youre comparing a modded vehicle, regardless of how minor you think that the mods may be. what cats are you running, because i dont imagine that you would add headers and catback, and leave the stock cats on there.

It has high-flow cats.... Yes the boost was doubled but, On that type of blower it dont gain as mutch as you would expect. Id say with 16lbs it maybe does 38rwhp with nothing done to the truck.. Thats not anuff to brag about. Your acting like the pully and chip gave the truck 70-80rwhp... It didnt!
The truck has all the stock bottom-end Junk parts in it.. With that mutch boost on the stock blower it's in the mod of.... To mutch time in the gas will cause alot of un-wanted heat that will kill the power. So.. this truck is not as built as you lead on, Thanks Steve
i wil have to hunt around for validity on those hp claims of doubling the stock hp.
so youre saying that an SRT10 with the same mods, wouldnt beat your lighnting?

Your missing the whole point.... With less than 500 bucks I can beat a srt-10 any day of the week with a stock L.. and 500 cash. How mutch is the Viper truck 49,000 New and the L is 31,000. Think about it...
