Ram SRT_10 Mods
Has anyone seen any mods made specifically for the Ram SRT-10? I know a number of the Viper mods carry over, but I am looking for headers, not from Hennessey, and any intake or computer upgrades that might be available.

I found Westcoast vipers.com but I do not know if they work on the Ram SRT 10. My guess is that they will since it has the Viper engine in it. They are located down in Temecula CA. I am interested in mods as well but one would have to call them to see what they might have. Their phone number is 909-676-1204 if you are interested. I want to make sure that I will not loose to any Lightnings.
I am keen on importing an SRT-10 Ram into Australia.
I intend on using it as a tough tow vehicle to pull my drag car.
I asked Dodge about the towing capacity of the SRT-10 & they
said towing is not recommended with the SRT-10 !!!
Surely, with the V10 engine & the sports suspension it is still a
capable tow vehicle.( I am not looking to tow more than 4500lbs)
Does anyone know if this is correct?
I would like to hear any comments from SRT-10 owners about this.
The Dodge representative also was not aware there were 50 Electric blue SRT-10s made!
I do not understand this as I have seen the photos in another thread.

I think it's more of a warranty issue than anything. Rebuilding or replacing a Hemi is one thing, but doing the same with a hand built and dyno tested Viper V10 is far more expensive, not to mention the 6-spd. transmission. It's not a matter of capability, it's got more than enough *****, it's warranty. If they still had only a 3yr./36,000 mile warranty, then I'm sure it would be rated different, but having to cover it for 7yrs./70,000 miles, they're covering their collective a**es.
I know it is a little old post but it's the transmission that won't handle it. You could check out a tranny swap with the Cummins HO 6-speed trannies, but remember those aren't geared for performance, the new Q/C SRT-10 will be capable of towing 'cause it'll have the auto-trans from the Cummins 600 trucks that'll be geared for performance.
I'm not sure the tranny out of a Cummins would be a direct swap. The tranny in the QCSRT-10 was adapted from the Cummins tranny to work on the V-10.
