That is very normal, almost all cars will do that.

Right that is normal for your oil pressure to be around 40psi at idle to around 60psi while on the accelerator. Doesn't hurt to keep an eye on that gauge as your coming to a stop or gearing down. I had an oil pump malfunction in mine that caused the pressure gauge to read extremely low while off throttle and decelerating. If that gauge does drop below normal levels you will see a 'check gauge' warning light. If you ever have your oil pump checked be sure they check oil lines as well. Sounds obvious but I'm speaking from experience in this case.

Thats normal pressure at idle on an engine that has completed its heat soak.

The only thing that you should have checked at first oil change (recommend at 1500 on a new engine) is the damper pulley bolt. Have the dealer double check that its torqued to spec. Vipers and Ram SRT-10's have had issues with the damper pulley bolts not being torqued properly.

BTW, you should visit VTCOA.com ... lots of information on our RAM SRT-10's

Another thing to check is the MAP sensor on the truck. A bad sensor can cause things such as the oil gauge to act sporadically. Normally a bad or tripped MAP sensor will show error codes when the dealer hooks up the diagnostic system to it. It would also most likely give you a check engine light. My truck just had this happen yesterday in fact. Pulled out of a Wawa and the oil pressure level dropped consideraby. It also through off the mixture and caused the engine to shut off. Doesn't sound like you have this issue but it's one thing to keep in mind as I thought this was a reoccuring issue with my oil pump, yet it was the MAP sensor that caused the low pressue readings.
