rumor has it the srt10 ram will is being discontinued this month due to lagging sales and poor gas mileage. Any truth too this?
I love my 05 SC. Awesome truck.

I also want to know this and I want to know will it be continued to be produced because within less than a year I want to buy a ram srt-10 qc and if it really takes that long then that will mean dealer's lots will be full of 07's and getting ready to be sold out for the 08's.
I hope not because I want to buy one brand new and I hope that they don't discontinue them or sell out before the time comes. Heck, I even have the page printed out from yahoo auto's equip and price of all the options i want on my ram and the total comes to 56,420.00 and im willing to spend that money. PLEASE DODGE NOOO!! It already is done. They stopped production of the 06 a couple months ago. The trucks on the lots are the only new ones to be bought. That is why I am selling a perfectly good 05 Hemi Ram and bought my 04 SRT.
There will not be a 07 SRT-10 Ram.
Does not mean there will not be a 08 SRT-10 after the Viper is back with its new engine, however I really think if they resurect the SRT Ram it will be in SRT-8 form with the 6.4+ around 500 HP and will probably out perform the current SRT and get better gas milage.
You have to remember, if DC decides to bring it back they are competing against NO ONE. Chevy really never had a true muscle truck contender and Ford never brought the Lightning back after the new F150 a couple years ago. If either one of those were to shake things up with a new muscle truck DC would respond........

just remember that low production numbers mean big gains for all of proud srt 10 owners!!!!!
I know we will miss the truck being produced, but it also means low depreciation for current owners of the truck. And besides this makes owning a srt 10 ram a more exculusive club.

This has made me depressed. Because of not hearing enough about the 6.4 HEMI, then my intuition is giving me a strong feeling that it will not be resurrected. Then I will have to cry daily that I will never own a performance truck... and I am not buying one used because I wanted mine special ordered... I already have the page printed out from yahoo autos about the estimated total price of my QC SRT-10 and all the options i wanted listed, like the night rider package, sunroof, etc. Total came to 56 grand. Daimler Chrysler, you just lost 56 grand...

FYI for all.
On 6-23-06 DCX stated that the production for the SRT-10 Ram has been completed.
As for the future plans for the Ram? They are going to be offering the following:
3.7L V-6 smallest engine possible
4.7L V-8 base engine
5.7L HEMI w/MDS - for the power and the milage 345 hp
5.7L-6.1L HEMI - they are talking about making a 5.7L HO HEMI that will be in the mid-rage between the 5.7L - 6.1L power so between 345-425 bhp
6.1L HEMI with 425hp - rummored to be the SRT-8 Dodge Ram
They currenlty have no plans for a larger motor to be made or put in the Ram. The days of the truck with 500 hp is unfortunatly goine.

It all makes sense though. There will be no more of the current Viper engines made. So naturally they would stop making the Ram SRT-10. I'm betting a new Ram SRT-8 or SRT-10 is coming. Someone told me a few days ago that they have seen covered trucks at Chelsea...
