Default Exhaust Noise

I just recently purchased a Ram SRT-10 and I have a problem, the exhaust is making a lot of noise and I can smell and the see the fumes inside the cab. I have checked the exhaust, replaced the entire exhaust including the headers and the problem still presists. I have even taken it to a shop and they can't figure it out. PLEASE HELP!!!

is this a joke?
the exhaust came stock with a little more rumble than normal. That's what popular demand, demanded. If you want it quieter, replace it with a quieter muffler.

If you can smell the fumes inside of the cab then you have your windows rolled down... lol just joking.. That's dangerous cus the carbon monoxide can induce dizziness and passing-out while driving, and carbon monoxide can lead to death. anyway, i dont know how you can "see" fumes, especially -seeing- fumes inside of your truck? wtf? I don't know what to tell you dude besides YOU HAVE A BIONIC DOGGY NOSE! YOU CAN SMELL A PIG FROM FIVE MILES AWAY if you have the ability to smell your fumes while sitting inside your truck with your windows rolled up.

come to think about it, are those "fumes" your own?

Hear let me clear a few things up for you. My dad is the owner. We bought the truck for him for his birthday. Me, and 6 or so other members of the family chipped in to pay for it. Also I know about the exhaust problem because my father lets me drive it when he uses my sunfire to get to work in Chalk River. So there does this clear it up for you.[:@]

What does the smell, well smell like? Is it a burning smell? I have to tell you, even if the exhuast had a small leak it would be hard to smell it. How do you know it is coming from the exhuast? Could be a few other things...... WHat year truck, how many miles and owners? Anything not stock??

You mentioned that you checked the exhaust and also had a shop look at it. Not to be redundant but that sounds like a leak somewhere. Maybe gaskets if you have headers on there or bad welds if that exhaust isn't stock. You'd hear a leak in a header gasket or underneath if you listen for it. Also if you had a big enough break somewhere in the exhaust you'd probably notice the smell. I've had an 04 with electric cutouts on it for a while and you can definately smell the exhaust when they're open and you're on it. I smell it from the inside as well, but that's with the exhaust wide open. Not sure what else to suggest. Hope you spot the problem.

This is the point of my post. Clutch slave cyliner could be leaking, if it is the clutch pedal will go to the floor soon. Could also be a bad clutch. I know when my clutch went the burning smell was bad. You can not "see" exhaust fumes unless it is VERY cold outside. That is why it is something burning and not a exhaust leak.
