my video from 7/8/06 races
heres an edited view of the races I was in from the Norton, KS drag races/car show this past weekend. I need tires that grip and a shifter that shifts

Need some slicks man. What do you run at the track like high 12's. With slicks you should be in the low 12's with good traction. In the video it looked like 1st gear was pointless to you haha.
Any issues getting the Paxton installed with the Belangers? I also heard rumors the Paxton prefers cats for some additional back pressure, so I guess I am asking how your setup went in terms of install and how it is performing. Any dyno #'s? This (other than the Corsa part) is what I plan on doing.

It was Woodhouses' thought that a lack of backpressure was causing a sort of lack of boost. We then found some airleaks in the system from the tuner who initially installed the supercharger. Once they were fixed the boost came up a bit more but doesnt reach the full boost until 6K rpm or so. As far as numbers, the truck reached 535 rwhp and 543 rwtq on a Mustang dyno. Taking those numbers at the flywheel yields about 670 horsepower and 678 torque.
For comparison sake I also had my '01 Viper GTS dynoed at the same facility as my Ram. The Viper was dynoed a few years ago. With headers, exhaust, filters, hi flow cats it reached 393 rwhp and 430 torque. Converting to flywheel yields 491 and 538.
If you take the numbers of the truck and the Viper then divide by the weight of each the power to weight ratio of the supercharged SRT Ram reg cab is nearly identical to my lightly modded '01 Viper.
I'll be running the Ram at bandimere in 2 weeks. I've also ran the Viper there so I hope to get some comparable numbers. The best I did in the Viper at 5800 feet was 13.228 @ 109 mph.
Finding aftermarket wheels to put slicks on is nearly impossible. Not enough trucks made for aftermarket vendors to have any interest. A few owners are shaving the rear calipers to put on 16 inch wheels. One owner with such wheels and nitrous ran 11.65@119 in a reg cab a few days ago. The power is there, just a matter of hooking at launch and smooth shifts.

**drools and drools and drools**
nice video man that truck sounded nice. I thought it was funny how your passenger was filming the woman over and over lol. That one car that had you beat beat you bad.. I think it might have been third to last or second to last or something like that. That guy must have had that thing turbo'd to heck and back... what a nerd.
