Brand New 2006 SRT10 Quad Cab True Story
I recently bought a brand new 2006 Inferno Red Dodge Ram SRT10 Quad Cab (4-speed auto trans), Volant CAI, and yes yes everyday driver, and I had to share my story with those who would understand.
No more than 2 weeks after I received DA Beast (1010 miles to its name) I was driving with my son back to our house. I turned on the last side street that leads to my driveway. Now this street is a little more than a quarter mile with a 29% uphill grade and a 5% downhill grade leading into a cul-de-sac. Well being the man I am, I took the kid out the back seat strapped him in hard to the passenger front seat and launched the truck from 2700 RPM. Understand that this was no longer than a 17 second ride from start to finish but somewhere around 4 seconds DA Beast kicked down in gear roared to the heavens and the stars aligned, and with that extra burst my 3 year old son with ACTUAL terror in his heart screamed out “OH MY GOD I GOONA DIE”. Now understand this is the same son that since he was 7 months-old, he’s was taken to a Jet-Truck show – same son that has been to over 39 professional racing events and 20 amateur racing events – same son that stands next to Grandpa’s 67 CHEVY II Nova with a 427 big block and open headers and yells “PoPa make it go louder”. I didn’t look at the speed odometer so I can’t tell you how fast I was going, I can only say that when I hit the brakes the ABS activated and threw us both forward into our seat belts and DA Beast flew to an immediate halt 2 feet short of the edge of my cul-de-sac. After my heart left out of my ear my son looked over and said with the biggest smile on his face “Scary”. I faced forward, and gazed straight into the unknown and with a joyful tear in my eye sighed “scary”. I’ve owned a 4 cylinder Neon, 6 cylinder Intrepid, Hemi Ram 1500 and now……. There is no stock truck on earth that could experience this, Hail to dodge for this completely unnecessary conception, Hail to the dealerships playing lets make a deal – screw the $50,000 I spent, screw the 36 mile per gallon hippies that hate my truck, ALL HAIL DODGE

Thats a nice little story. I have ridin in a 04 Reg Cab srt-10 with exhaust, headers, cai and that thing was fast as hell. It may be a truck but 120mph comes up pretty quick.
Thats what its all about, keep that pedal pushed to the floor. Its kinda hard not to in these great trucks
05 reg cab Flame Red
B&B Triflo Catback exhaust and mids, Xmetal Pcm Upgrade, Xmetal 172 T-stat, K&N CAI
