2500 mile update
So I continue to love this truck more and more, especially since gas has gone down over 50 cents a gallon since i got it! Issues with low rpm idleing and stalling have seemingly worked themselves out and she's been running awesome. I've had 2 recent run-ins with some sports cars with great results.
About 2 weeks ago a C5 Corvette comes flying by me, then gets on the brakes, then does it again. So from about a 35mph roll, we go. Hand to god, it was barely even a race, by the time he shifted, i must have pulled 3 carlengths. Now i know that this should not have been the case, but the guy couldnt drive. lol. But a win is a win, and getting to use the line "oh hey, my quadcab pickup truck just beat ur vette" makes it more than worth it.
On that same stretch of road about a week later, a Porsche Boxter pulls along side and gives me the nod. So i give it a blip, he gives it a blip, then we slow down to about a 30mph roll. Let me tell u, i was giggling because of how hard my truck pulled, must have been that perfect shift point for the automatic. But it was over before it even started, all be it i was racing the Dodge Neon of Porsche's (a non-SRT neon that is). Again, got to slow down and roll down the window with a "hey, my pickup truck is faster than ur Porsche". The gentleman promptly busted a U'ey in a 5 lane street and took off.
Its moments like these that make me extremely sad i only leased it (cause i know damn well i wouldnt have been able to afford to finance it). So i'm hoping that i can hit the lotto in the next 24 months so i can afford the $35,000 to buy it outright (21 year old really dont have a lot of bank, lol)
Just thought i'd share a little bit of my joy with you all.
P.S. Always be a safe and considerate driver. Wear seatbelts and always follow posted speed li.......lol, thought i had ya for a second there.
