Not many tonneaus will work unless you remove the wing, at which point any cover that works on a Ram 1500 will work with your truck. Also, if you think you can just buy a hard cover and bolt the wing to it.... The wing has a small contour to it, so the wing would not attach "flush" to the cover, unless it is a Dodge hard cover.

Hi,

I just purchsed my 05 SRT-10 QC a couple months ago and found this forum.

If you want a good soft Tonneau cover go to www.4wheelparts.com and look at the Truxedo low profile cover. I purchased one for my truck and it fits perfect under the rear tail. It looks fantastic, installed in about 30 minutes, and is easy to roll up if you want to use the bed.

Was the rails notched for the wing?

Nothing was changed on the truck or cover. It fit perfectly under the tail. I did take off the tail to install the cover and then put the tail back on.

If fits like a glove. This is the best soft cover I have seen and looks great with this truck.

Thanks a lot, you know any good sites (other than x-metal) that you can get performance parts? I have found a couple but its difficult to find very many parts for the SRT-10. Thanks again on the web site.

I just noticed this is really a rollup, ie no canister/rail system. It is hard to see how you can roll up a cover, that according to the site is 1" above the bed rails, with the wing on the truck. Do you have some pics of the cover and how much clearance you have when rolling it up? The biggest bind up spot would be on the front side of the wing.

It is a roll up cover and does fit under the tail. You have to take off the tail to roll up the cover. Not a big deal for me. It has a latch system at the back that locks in place. You have just enough room to pop open the latch and the back has enough room to lift about 1/2 inch which is enough room to close the tail gate and then latch the top back down.

You have some room to play with when you install to attach the side rails a little lower or higher. In this case you need to intall it on the low side. it fits under the curve of the tail. The cover is flat and does not bow up like other covers. There are three round bars attached to the cover to keep it from flat.

I will try to take a picture soon and post it for you.

I have not found any good performace sites yet, but will let you know if I do.

OK, that makes sense. Good info to know though if you are buying a cover, some will not want to remove the wing to get the cover to roll up.

Trying to post a picture of the cover. I re-sized the photo and it is well under 500k.

I clicked on Embed picture in post and clicked to upload, selected the .jpeg. It said it uploaded OK but I do not see the picture.
