It most cetainly can! If DC can prove the mod caused the failed component they can void the warranty repair.

Does not effect the warranty, have been running NO/cat's for over a year now. One of the better mods for the $$$. You just have to watch-out for the MAN.....
I saved my two mid's w/cat's so I can exchange for the inspection.
Quick

Yes that would be easier but do you think it would affect the warranty.
Thanks

And that would depend on who's doing the warranty work.

Are there dealerships that will work with you? Probably. Is it following the rules? No.
Bottom line, you ARE risking warranty not be honored when you mod from the CATs forward.
I agree. I just don't think most dealers care too much about exhaust mods like high-flow cats and aftermarket mufflers as long as the factory electronics are in place. And these mods justaren't likely to cause any major issues.
Unfortunately Ialso think it's a function of the extent of a potential problem. If your starter goes bad, the dealer mayjust go ahead and replace it under warranty, even if the extra heat from your headerscaused it.If you cook a piston due to running lean and its a much bigger bill to fix, DC may just decide that your O2 sims are at fault and tell you you're on your own.
I also know what the "law" says but where the stealerships are concerned I firmly believe you are guilty until proven innocent once they decide to deny a claim. A lot of guys end up paying for thousands of bucks in repairs just to avoid the legal hassles of trying to enforce a warranty.

Thanks for all the replies guys.
I think the k&n and cat back + x-metal flash will widen my smile just fine for now.
Mostly i bought the exhaust because the intake noise is much louder than the exhaust.
These trucks should be noticed.........95% of people just see another red dodge truck.
Thanks again.
