Default clutch fan removal

Any tips on removing the clutch fan from the water pump on a 2001 van?

First off it's reverse threads. Second, you'll need something like a strap wrench to hold the pulley while turning the fan nut.

I ended up using a "BOA-CONSTRICTOR" wrench (rubber strap), but it wasn't reverse thread. I already new that by looking at the new one.

The best think I've found is the old vicegrips with the chain (not sure what they call it)
