that explains it, but know the D is reving wierd at idle the RPM goes up and down, but it doesnt stall

Clean the IAC motor. Here is a link from Stev about how to clean it. In most cases that will solve the problem of irradic idleing.

You will need Q-Tips, Carb cleaner, paper towls, flash light, and a Torq bit screwdriver.
Took me about 30 minutes to do from start to finish including removing and reinstalling the "dog house".

what most likely causes this code, I smell fuel out side the cab.

The easiest solution is the gas cap isn't sealing.
