Thanks very much for your replies and advisement. After back probing the wires to the coil and finding zero voltage I have come to the conclusion that the ecm has taken a dump.
Anyone have a good ecm for a 2001 ram van 1500 with a 3.9, automatic?

I bought a used PCM for $137.30 from these guys, along with a 6 month warranty. You need the number off of yours to make sure you get the right one.

To anyone reading this thread:I went to a local NAPPA store and they sent my computer out to be reconditioned. Turnaround was one week with a one year warranty. Cost was $330.00. This fixed my problem.
I had the local Auto Zone store clear the fault codes out of the computer for free!
