He's not getting 12v power to the coil or 5v the crank sensor. Looking at the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, etc. isn't going to solve anything until the power lossis first restored.

Thanks very much for your replies and advisement. After back probing the wires to the coil and finding zero voltage I have come to the conclusion that the ecm has taken a dump.

Anyone have a good ecm for a 2001 ram van 1500 with a 3.9, automatic?

I bought a used PCM for $137.30 from these guys, along with a 6 month warranty. You need the number off of yours to make sure you get the right one.

To anyone reading this thread:

I went to a local NAPPA store and they sent my computer out to be reconditioned. Turnaround was one week with a one year warranty. Cost was $330.00. This fixed my problem.

I had the local Auto Zone store clear the fault codes out of the computer for free!
