Default better breathing for my 78 b200 tradesman

I have a 78 b200 tradesman that i love dearly. im looking to put some headers on it for power and mileage. can anyone suggest some cheap 50-state legal headers. it has a 5.2l 318 without an O2 sensor. also, i wanted to rebuild my carb but the ID tag has been removed, i know it's a carter bbd 2barrel but apparently i need more info for a rebuild kit, therefore im thinking about
just buying a new one (or rebuilt) ... is there a certain type or model that would provide me with better mileage?
thanks for the help!

Hedman HTC headers are a nice fitting set I heard. And only about $265.00 US. I really don't know about the legalities of them. I put a 4bbl intake and carb from a '81 Plymouth on my van and it works great. You will however have to do some modifications to the throttle linkages. Again you would have to check with your state laws because 4 bbl carbs only came equipped on the big blocks in the vans.
