Default 99 Ram Van 5.2L Problem

99 Ram Van, 120k miles 5.2L Magnum. Will start and idle but will not accelerate, even in park/nuetural.

It acts either like its not getting enough fuel, the CAT is plugged or maybe the O2 sensor is bad.

Trying to decide what parts to start throwing at it.

1) Need to know what the fuel presure should be, and how to check it. Specifically Ineed the cheapest gauge posable to do the job. Can I get away with a cheap presure gauge, some hose and fittings? Or do I have to buy an actual fuel presure gauge. I assume you hook the gauge to the nipple on the fuel rail?

2) How comon is it for a CAT to get plugged up on these things? The sound at the tail pipe is like a hiss, not what I'm used to hearing. I don't want to drop the exhaust because it's starting to rote and I don't want to replace it if it's not my problem. This thing is getting traded in ASAP.
Any other way to check this out?

Thanks for any help.

Mark

Did you get any codes off the odometer display when you did the key trick?

cheap gas will plug up a cat, does it have a rotten egg smell at the tail pipe?
