Hey everybody I think my transmission is a gonner! Anyone else have problems around 80,000 miles with the 4 spd OD tranny? And which model exactly do I have? I was having issues where it would take too long to shift out of first but then it would quickly jump thru the rest into OD. Then I nothiced yesterday its started to whine so I checked and it was full of fluid and it looked pretty good. Continued down the road and suddenly I had nothing the engine reved but no go. Is this going to require a full rebuild or should I just replace it?

Its my only work van help ASAP. THanks

 

Not good, yes you're looking at rebuilding it or replacing it with one from a junkyard.

 

A 4-sp that has OD in a 2000 Ram Van is usually the 46RE tranny.
