Default a question about the IAT

Hey guys, I'm trying to install a "Nitro Chip", on a 2001 Dodge Maxi Van, its supposed to splice into the IAT sensor. If its combined with other sensors, then I need to splice it into the Coolant Temperature Sensor. My questions are, where is the Intake Air Temperature sensor? Is it with anything else? Will I have to use the Coolant sensor instead? And if so, where is that? Thanks!!

Default RE: a question about the IAT

The IAT sensor is screwed into the intake manifold slightly forward of where the throttle cable connects to the throttle body. One wire is a common but the second wire goes directly to the PCM.

The CTS is next to the t-stat housing. There are two, one is a one wire sensorand is for the dash gauge. The second one is the one you'll want and itis a 2-wire sensor that goes to the PCM. Again, one wire is a common but the second wire goes directly to the PCM.

Beaware that this so called "chip" is nothing more than a fixed resistor that you are installing to fool the PCM. It may cause the PCM to throw the CEL (Check Engine Light) at you with it coming up that the sensor readings are out of limits. In that case you will need to remove this "chip" and put the wire back to the sensor as it is intended.
