Default Aftermarket Tach on 92 5.2

I have a 1992 RoadTrek van motorhome on an extended '92' Ram Van 250 with no factory Tach. Tranny is 3 spd/OD. I want to install an aftermarket tach. Can anyine tell me where to find a signal wire point. I'm sure there must be one if the co. installs a factory tach. I'm guessing I could pick up a point at the distributor but I'm concerned that I may damage the modules. Would relly appreciate any info on this. Thanks.

Tap into the negative side of the coil wire.

Thanks again. I had thought of doing this but the coil is in a nasty position so figured if there was a factory connectin it would be easier. If that is the only solution I'll go that way. Thanks again.
