I have a 1989 dodge ram van 250, 318 engine. The rear end is making horrible bearing noises and it's not the wheel bearings. I need to know what other vehicles had this same rearend before I go to the salvage yard. the alum tag on the rear end reads 3168.

so what other vehicles had this same rear end?

My 87 B250 has a 8 1/4" rear, dakota's and some smaller v6 rams may have the same rear end, but no guarantees that the spring perches are in the correct place....you may have a 9 1/4" too (octagonal diff cover).
