ok i went in reverse hit the breaks hard did that 3-4 times
each time the left rear tire seem to stop faster and i put some rubber on the blacktop
but the right side didn't
does this mean i need to adjust the right more then go in reverse again
thanks

It could mean that the right isn't tight enough, or it could also mean that the left is too tight. The best way to tell is to jack up the rear, put it in neutral, and then spin each tire to check for any drag.
You might also check that the "self adjuster" is working properly. That the cable is not broken or off its track, adjuster "finger" not worn and that the "starwheel" turns freely. BTW you only need to back up slowly and then brake firmly and semi abruptly to adjust those brakes. When you have the drum off (Pass. side), grip the shoes in your hands and turn in a CC direction, you'll see the action of the finger pulling up on the starwheel.........doesn't take that much to tilt the shoes.
i jacked up the rear put it in (N) felt the drag on the left rear there was drag that it took 2 hands just to spin the tire half way around
now i checked th right rear it would spin more with less drag so made adjustment until they both felt the same
also checked the star wheel they are both good and working
what else can i do the breaks seem to be working
