Gasket maker please help
Can i use this for differential cover gasket, i will use fel-pro gasket+this hi-tepm red sealant. Please some opinions on should I use this i have 2 tubes in my garage i wanted to use them for something .rather then just throw them away http://www.accumetricinc.com/boss/PDF/376.pdf
First off if they've been laying around for a while are they past the expiration date? If so, you need to toss them out anyway.
That aside, I didn't see anywhere in that PDF file where it says this stuff is oil resistant. If it's not, the differential fluid will break down the sealant and cause leaking.

why not give the sealer a go. i got some rtv ultra black in a caulk tube thats at least a year old. i just used it for a valve cover gasket on a 2.5 and it was fine just make sure everything is super clean i use carb cleaner to get the surfaces nice and oil free so stuff sticks
