Default parts that generally fail?

Hi fellow Dodge van owners. Update on the battle with the dodge dealer and my OD issue.....I was credited back $200.00 from that adventure. Yay! But since then, the mechanic who had done so much work to rebuild Horton died from a heart attack, may he rest in peace.
My question is posted because I need this van for business trips next year and I'm wondering if I need to replace any other parts that are typical in failing after 100,000 miles. I've redone the front end, u joints, brakes, steering gear box, new shocks, battery and belts. I want to be ahead of the 8 ball if you will. Should I replace the fuel pump to be safe? Any suggestions are appreciated! 1990 B250 318 conversion.

The problem with "preventative parts replacement" is that you can end up replace a perfectly good working part with a new yet defective one.

I know Alloro. My concern is that most of the parts on this van needed replacing. I don't want to be out in the middle of nowhere and have it die on me. I guess that's the chance I will take. I'm just going to have to pray! thanks

Did you ever get the Overdrive Issue resolved?
What was it?

Preemptively replacing parts will make you go mad.
Get an AAA membership, and deal with a breakdown if/when it happens.
Just keep up with normal preventative maintenance, and listen and feel for abnormalities.

1. Ignition coil.

2. ASD Relay

3. Inner front wheel bearings

4. IAC

5. TPS

6. Battery

7. PCM

8. Heat shield in dog-house falls off and rests on engine.

9. HVAC control ***** break with no notice

10. Clogged cat needs to be broken free.

That's just a run from the top of my head.

Thank you Stev. This will give me a few more things to have the mechanic look at.
Land Yacht-I ran out of money before getting the van to tranny shop for testing. The mechanic who had done much of the work passed away, so I had to seek new help. I need to have the tranny shop check the wiring going up from the tranny, it could be questionable.

My '96 3500 has about 145,000 miles and is on it's third fuel pump, but maybe I'm just unlucky. Everytime it's given me trouble has been on a long distance trip, first time was the first weekend after I got the truck (at about 60,000).
