when i hit the brake only the top center brake light comes on,
but when i turn on my headlights the rear 2 lights come on fine.
any help?

i notice they can be bought from 50-$200+ or so, as long as its compatible to my make and model does it matter what brand or how much i spend?

 

No, as long as the less expensive ones are not of a very poor quality where the switch is going to break again soon.

 

I have a question , My turn signal switch just died , no lower brake lights , I traced it to the switch . 2000 3500 maxi ram van .
My local dealers want $ 180. give or take a buck or two .
All of the online mopar OE parts dealers quote $ 118 with a net around $ 80. to $ 90 .
Are they selling the complete assembly with all the wires and plugs ? or is there a repair kit with just the top 1/2 available ?.
Are the local Stealers just Greedy ?
It appears only 98 to 2000 ram van part's fit , also no after market Available.

We have no idea what you looked at, so your best bet is to ask them if it's a complete assembly. I can tell you this though...I've never seen a turn signal repair kit.
