Can you ease on the gas to get it to go? Are all the vacuum lines connected and working? It may be the accelerator pump not working even though the carb is rebuilt. Do this with the engine off. A test to try is take off the air cleaner top. Look down into the carb, hold the choke open and move the throttle while looking for a fuel spray. If no fuel spray then pull the top of the carb off and repair/replace the accelerator pump.
all vacuums are connected i will check the acc pump yes you can ease on the gas and it will go but if you hit the gas like you normally would it will kill if you double foot it brake and gas at once you can drive it
Also check the brake booster for a vacuum leak. It is either the accelerator pump or a leaking brake booster.
On the master brake light check that the e/parking brake pedal is pulled all the way up. I have seen a few that by pulling the release handle and pulling up on the pedal that the lamp would go off.
That's true, but considering that the brake lines were just opened up, I'd lay odds that the system is still air bound and the proportioning valve sensor is what has the brake light turned on.
