Default 1979 Sportsman 440/727 Removal...

Does anyone know of any write-ups for removing the 440 and 727 from a 1979 Sportsman RV? It should be reasonably straight forward, I guess, but I have never removed an engine from a van and wouldn't mind a bit of insight if anyone out there has any

Neither way is easy, but you can either take the whole front end apart and take the engine out the front. Or remove all the crossmembers and suspension and drop the engine out from underneath. The last van I removed the engine out the front, took about 4 hours and I had it all apart and out.

4 hours isn't bad at all, i had originally budgeted the weekend for it. but, then again, i am going to take pretty much the entire drive train and suspension off of it. I want to try and fit as much of it as possible onto the dodge dakota. it will either turn out to be a beast of a monster dakota or an epic failure, i am hoping against the latter but i know i will prolly get carried away... :P
