Cost about $58.00 used and I had to pull it.
Replaced the ABS & the proportioning valve and still the same problem...she hangs up and will not release the rt front caliper. Slowly it takes over and drags the car almost to a stop after a few blocks.
Any ideas...suggestions or some spare explosives I could borrow to put this miserable van out of it's misery??????????????

Fred

There's got to be some debris in the brake line or brake hose running to that RF wheel. You might just want to disconnect both ends and see if you can push a thin wire through it. It would be great if you have access to compressed air to blow through it.

Seems I should do all at once. Where would I start?????????????front to back, back to front with the wire.
What direction????????????
No compressed air but that might change...I'll steal my brothers compressor.

Run the wire any way you can. If you can do it both ways, then do so.

Pulled both the flex and hard line completely off and ran aluminun wire in thru both(only one way on the flex hose because of the block at the caliper end..but I did get thru and into to the block). Then I used a can of brake cleaner and flushed them completely. Then ran some brake fluid thru to flush the cleaner. Replaced them in proper order...bled them and went for a short test drive...short meaning the SOB is doing the exact same thing as before.
Starts out rollin smooth and fine till I have to hit the brakes a few times in traffic and then the slow down...within a mile I'm lucky to get her back to the house.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Something just doesn't add up. Might be time to let a shop look at it?

At this point I'm starting to wonder if the caliper slides down on the wheel are too tight and locking the caliper in place when they get hot and expand.

Caliper slides had a few rough spots but nothing like peaks and valleys. I took a file and cleaned them smooth on all surfaces and added a bit of axle grease to help the movement back and forth. I did this two test drives ago! They don't seem to be the problem...both front end caliper guides are working smoothly.
This afternoon I'm taking it to a huge parking lot and running/driving it till it seizes and then pulling a jack out(checking how easily the wheel spins) and releasing fluid pressure at the wheel in hopes of finding the clog that is the problem.

Fred the weary!
