I want the horn to sound when the alarm goes off. More noise, more attention and if they cut the siren out the horn will still sound. I also found the door trigger in the glove compartment. Great place to stash the alarm.

yea its a good spot ...I didn't hook up my auto start so let me know how it goes...I couldn't get my power doors to work with the alarm ...wasn't too sure on the wires...I know it's a 5 wire hook up.

Remote start went smooth as butter. I put a Avital remote starter alarm in. Followed the diagram from 12volt.com and it was spot on. I don't have door locks so I don't know how they connect. The alarm is loud when it goes off. Lights flash, horn honks and siren goes off. I disconnected the shock sensor. Decided I'd get to many nuisance alarms with it. They kinda suck anyways. Have a glass break sensor, hood pin trigger and the door triggers.

Notify your insurance company that you now have an alarm installed and they should give you a discount on the comprehensive portion of your premium.

Asked them, no dice on that in WA. They didn't mind either way.

Nitro, I had a remote start on a Ungo system (it stopped working after I fiddled with the wires under the dash). I'd love to get it going again, just need info on what wire should go where into the van. One might just be dislodged etc). Any help or diagrams would be ace.

thanks

Wilbo

What year van? You can get the wiring diagram from 12volt.com. You'll need your Ungo install guide. Is that a DEI alarm? I'll give you what advice I can. Sounds like a loose splice down there. I soldered all my wires. Pretty permanent install.

Its a 1993. I couldn't find a diagram (didn't look too hard), found wire colours and descriptions. I'll have another look. Need to find that Ungo guide...
thanks
