Is it a window that opens out about 3 inches on the bottom?

I have double doors, and to remove and replace the window I have to lift the window past 90 degrees, after removing the opening mechanism. There is a lip at the top of the window that only allows insertion into the receptacle when lifted about 110 degrees.

Do not know if this is relevant to your larger 1 door window.

 

no, its just a single back door with a window that doesnt open. i have changed the ones like you said though.

 

its a grommet window.

you have to use a small rope...

insert the rope in the channel of the rubber grommet and leave both rope ends hanging from top side then set window in place at bottom then start pulling rope through - you should get the idea from pics.
