Do you know Barn doors and B Pillar interchangeability years??? Passenger side.
Hi everybody, Who would know from what years side barn doors and B pillar is interchangeable? I had asked several Dodge dealers and they say from 97 to 2003. Some says 94 to 2002. Another say no B pillar is available for 98 up but you have to buy the Aperture panel. However when I measured the barn doors and the aperture in a 94 , 97 and 2000 years they all have the same dimensions. Is anybody in the forum is knowledgeable about this situation??? Any knowledgeable comments are appreciated. I am trying to put side barn doors on a 98 Ram van. Thanx in advance.
Seems by your own measurements that any of them will work from 94-03. You have a lot of work ahead of you if you decide to do this. Either you or some body shop you chose will need to do a very good cut & wield job to keep the van safe and usable. It may be more cost effective to just buy a side barn door van instead of cutting and wielding this one.

No problems in doing cuts and welds, we are pros.
Problem lies in lack of certainty in choosing the correct year parts.
Rather lack of access to the dealer data base/s where these info are.
Waiting for knowledgeable contributions.
What year is the van you intend to do this on? 94-97 (dash looks alike) will work between them and 98-03 (their dashes look alike) will work for sure between them. Though after the a-pillar I can not tell any difference between 94-03 body wise.
I don't think you're going to find anyone here who can give you perfectly accurate information about this my friend. I mean, you guys are "the pros" and you can't easily figure it out.
